The firm

A London house with regional reach

Eight years of cross-border transaction advisory, contracted from London and delivered on the ground.

Golden Gate Investment Advisory LLP is an English limited liability partnership, established in London in 2018 and registered at Companies House under number OC423703. Eight years on, we advise governments, state-owned enterprises and sponsors on transactions that international capital can underwrite.

We are not a local intermediary with a London letterhead. The partnership contracts under English law, files publicly, and maintains permanent regional presence in the markets where the mandates originate — which is where a frontier-market transaction is actually won or lost.

Our clients are sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, institutional investors and family offices. Our counterparties are the governments, state-owned enterprises and sponsors that originate the assets they want to own.

The platform

Why the mandate sits in London

The jurisdiction a mandate is contracted from is not administrative detail. For sovereign and state-linked transactions it determines who will sign, who will lend, and how a dispute would end.

  1. English law and enforceable documentation

Mandates and transaction documents are drafted under English law with LCIA or ICC arbitration. International lenders, DFIs and their counsel already know this framework and do not need to price unfamiliar legal risk.

  2. A counterparty institutions can onboard

A UK limited liability partnership, publicly filed at Companies House with verifiable membership, clears institutional KYC and onboarding without bespoke legal review.

  3. A neutral contracting venue

Neither the sponsor's jurisdiction nor the investor's. On politically sensitive sovereign mandates, a neutral English contracting party is frequently the condition that makes the transaction possible.

  4. London market access

Proximity to the debt capital markets, Islamic finance desks, multilateral institutions, insurers and law firms that a frontier-market transaction has to pass through to reach close.

Differentiation

Why Golden Gate

London structuring discipline, applied by people who are in the room where these projects originate.

  1. A UK platform, not a local intermediary

An English LLP established in 2018, contracting under English law, filed and verifiable at Companies House — the counterparty profile institutional investors are set up to transact with.

  2. Sovereign access

Mandates are originated directly with governments and state-owned enterprises rather than intermediated through brokers, so we work from primary documents and primary decision-makers.

  3. Independence

No balance sheet, no lending book, no distribution arm. Our advice is not a route to selling a product, and we say when a project is not financeable.

  4. Regional fluency

Permanent regional presence and working command of English, Russian and Georgian across jurisdictions where regulatory nuance and relationships determine outcomes.

Conduct

Governance and integrity

Working with public-sector counterparties raises the bar. Our procedures are built for that scrutiny.

Conflicts

  • Single-side representation per transaction
  • Written disclosure of any related interest
  • Independent-advice mandate; no product sales

Compliance

  • KYC and beneficial-ownership verification
  • Sanctions and PEP screening on all parties
  • UK Bribery Act-aligned ABC policy

Confidentiality

  • NDAs before any material disclosure
  • Controlled data rooms and access logs
  • Discretion on sensitive sovereign mandates

Golden Gate Investment Advisory LLP provides transaction advisory services. It does not hold client assets, take deposits, lend, manage discretionary portfolios or provide investment recommendations to retail investors.

Let us look at the structure

Most conversations start with a short diagnostic: is the project financeable as it stands, what would have to change, and which pools of capital would realistically look at it.
